Dear Laurel Mountain Parents,

My name is Charlotte Justice, and I am pleased to fill the school counselor position at Laurel Mountain this year. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and this will be my fourth year at LME. I spent the last three years teaching in Special Education and Response to Intervention. Prior to joining the Laurel Mountain team, I was a counselor at a charter high school serving an at-risk youth population. I am ecstatic to be returning to my true passion as a counselor!

I am grateful for the opportunity to support your child’s social-emotional, academic, and career development. We are given the unique opportunity during our students’ formative years to help deepen their understanding of themselves and the world around them. I am confident that together we can lay a solid foundation for our youth and create ambitious, lifelong learners who will grow to become resilient, flexible leaders of the global environment of tomorrow. Our best tool for this foundation is by developing a strong partnership between school and home. I am eager to assist and participate in this partnership.

On a more personal level, I am interested in music, the outdoors, and traveling. I hope to play my saxophone for students more this year, too. My husband and I enjoy spending our time with family and friends over homemade barbecue, as well watching a LOT of football in the fall. (Hook ‘Em Horns!) In fact, I am such a football fan that I have managed my own fantasy football league for the past six years!

I look forward to getting to know your child and you as we navigate our way through another great school year. I am thankful to be here. Please let me know how I can be helpful to your child’s learning and development, and contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Warm Regards,
